Space Policy

The Department of Space (DoS) recently came out with a Draft Space Based Communication Policy (Draft Spacecom Policy 2021).

Satcom Industry Association (SIA-India) consolidated opinion and comments from stakeholders and submitted to DoS. SIA-India was also given an opportunity to address Dr. K.Sivan, Sh. Maheshwar Rao, Dr. Pawan Goenka, Sh. K Rathnakara and other distinguished luminaries from DoS, ISRO and IN-SPACe, to present industry viewpoints.

We thank all the Industry stakeholders who have taken time out of their busy schedules to contribute valuable comments to be consolidated in the SIA-India submission.
A copy of the SIA-India submission can be downloaded here.

As a vibrant body, SIA-India represents satellite operators, satellite systems, launch vehicles and ground and terminal equipment manufacturers, space startups as well as application, solutions, and service providers to the Government, Regulators, Policymakers, and domestic and international standards bodies.
